Drewton's Farm Shop near South Cave has come up with a recession-busting deal aimed at making a meal out more affordable for cash-strapped families.
From 6 July, the last day of the working week will officially be known as 'Family Friendly Friday' at Drewton's and the café will stay open until 9pm. From 4pm onwards one child can eat free of charge for every adult main meal purchased. However, the Farm Shop will close at 5pm as usual.
Katie Taylor, proprietor of Drewton's, said: "The summer holidays are coming up and we know that many families are feeling the pinch just now, so we thought this was a fun way to make a family meal out more affordable.
"It's always nice for Mum and Dad to have night off cooking and a chance to enjoy some quality time together, but I know how expensive eating out with children can be. We wanted to come up with a deal that would give families a helping hand at a time when so many are counting the pennies."
